Welcome to Café Guild, a charming café nestled in the heart of Faversham at 48 Court St. This delightful spot boasts a bright and inviting ambiance, perfect for a casual meetup or a tranquil break after exploring the local area. With a reputation that has earned it the title of the best café in Kent according to Kent Life Magazine, it's a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors alike.

Café Guild specializes in comforting British fare with a twist. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a light snack, the menu offers an impressive selection that caters to all tastes. Start your day with their mouthwatering American pancakes—a true highlight that many diners rave about, particularly Hannah Deane, who proclaimed them the best in the UK! Don't miss the classic English breakfast or the charmingly presented Eggs Benedict, alongside classic café staples like Bacon & Mozzarella or Tuna Melt.

For a lighter option, indulge in delightful Light Bites such as Beans On Toast, Poached Egg On Toast, or the ever-popular Cheese On Toast. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients that excite the palate and warm the soul. Or consider one of their delightful salads, like the refreshing Coronation Chicken or vibrant Prawn Salad, if you’re looking for something with a kick of flavor. And, of course, leave room for dessert—a slice of their luscious apple pie or an indulgent nata is sure to sweeten your visit!

The service at Café Guild is as warm and welcoming as the food is delicious. Patrons consistently highlight the friendly demeanor of the staff who go above and beyond to ensure your experience is enjoyable. Guests like Almira BL have relished their time here, enjoying both the vibrant atmosphere and friendly service while sipping on coffee and nibbling on treats. It’s the kind of place where a relaxing coffee break or a hearty meal can easily stretch into an afternoon of indulgence and good conversation.

While the café can spark a few heatwave-related sweat beads during the summer, as noted by Arosha Weerakkody, the refreshing drinks like the tropical banana smoothie can easily cool you down and are well worth the trip, even on the hottest days.

In summary, Café Guild isn't just a café; it's a community hub where flavor meets comfort. With its promising menu, inviting atmosphere, and friendly staff, it's no wonder why it's adored by many. Whether you're a Faversham local or just passing through, make sure to treat yourself to the delightful offerings at Café Guild—you won’t regret your visit!

Nice bright and clean ambiance. Pretty inside. Friendly table service. Lots of choices including pancakes and French toast!!! We only came in for coffee and of course we needed to have the apple pie and nata! Had a nice relaxed coffee after exploring the area. Apple pie to take away and one of the slices barely made it to the car! Will definitely come back again to try the other stuff in the menu!

We had soup, ice cream, and drinks—the banana smoothie was a tropical dream! The only catch? It was so hot inside the café during the heatwave, I wasn’t sure if I was sweating or the ice cream was—either way, we both melted.

The Guild Cafe in Faversham is the best cafe in Kent, that is not only my opinion but is also the opinion of the readers of Kent Life Magazine as they recently voted it the best in Kent. We visited today Sunday 1st September, on possibly one of the busiest days of the year (Faversham hop festival). The staff were polite, helpful and very accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. The cappacinos were hot and great tasting, we both had jacket potatos, one Tuna and one Prawn, both came with side salad, which was crisp, fresh and plenty of and homemade colslaw, at £9.95 they were great value for money. Hazel and Peter run a lovely cafe in a beautiful historic town, their staff are outstanding. I would recommend the Guild Cafe to anyone visiting Faversham, keep up the good work.

We had such a lovely breakfast this morning at Cafe Guild. The chef was so friendly and kind - he asked if I wanted some American pancakes when I arrived and little did I know they were going to be the best I’ve had in the U.K. (and I grew up in the states!). They were also accommodating to my partners request for an English breakfast. Delicious lattes, and other cakes or pastries available for takeaway. It was a wonderful morning at Cafe Guild.

A great addition to Faversham, Cafe Guild serves great food. We have had breakfast, light lunch and cakes. Eggs Benedict is always a favourite and the staff are refreshingly welcoming so will definitely be coming back.
